My flower petals seem to hit different people differently. I never know which ones will be the most popular, or which will grab somebody enough that they comment.

That's why I like to share all sorts, even when a piece ends up feeling a little 'off' to me. I'm comfortable when my favourite creations get little attention and when my hasty asides get loads of love. All part of the process!

Really interesting to hear your thoughts and others, I agree with so much. I didn't know you'd only been producing art for a year! Very cool. I didn't start till my 30s but only in more recent years I've really got going with producing lots!

25 Aug 2024 - That’s the date I had a joke with my kids about making an ‘avatar’ that wasn’t an avatar at all. Just a bunch of random nonsense placed around a grainy photo of myself.

But out of that joke came the spark of an idea of what might be.

And what an amazing 13 months of arty fun it’s been!

Amazing! I started painting while home educating my kids as I wanted them to try stuff and thought I better lead by example!!

A wonderful example! Similar things happen within our household. The children learn from us and we learn from the children. I’m amazed by some of the stuff they achieve.

I really like your collage at the top of the post. I enjoyed the videos too, particularly from Houshiary (her scultpures are amazing and I really enjoyed her thoughts about time)

Ever so kind, Juliet! That collage is definitely one of the playful type.

Agreed, Houshiary's sculptures look so satisfying in how they move (very much in line with her own words). The studio window Houshiary opens in the video is a window I'd love to have. That said, a studio like that would be amazing too. 😆
